Our company's name and logo has three distinct meanings. The name "FOTOKOR" was inspired by the 1934 model folding bed plate film camera "Fotokor-1," which was manufactured by GOMZ. The term "Fotokor" means "photojournalist" and is derived from the Russian language contraction "foto-korrespondent." The camera was originally designed for photojournalists. The name "INDEPENDENT MEDIA" reflects the independent and unrestricted nature of our media production. Additionally, our original logo featured a phoenix bird, which is associated with Greek mythology and symbolizes cyclic rebirth and regeneration from the ashes of its predecessor.
